Ahhh… time to relax… It was Friday night, the day before the party, and we were all set up. A few details left for Saturday and we were ready to have a great time celebrating our newly engaged friends Sarah and Drew. We jumped into bed excited for the next day.

Morning came quickly, the sun gleaming into the bedroom and we hopped out of bed for some coffee, a shower and to casually set the rest of the party up…… welllll not sooo much!!!#@^…. apparently the weather forecasters failed to mention the significant chance of gusting winds… aka Santa Ana Winds. Who would have guessed that the weather people are ever wrong! (please note the extreme sarcasm with that comment) Anyways, with paper lanterns in the pool, the tent threatening to relocate itself to the front yard and the dust storm that had become all of our backyard, we were forced to break everything back down until the wind stopped.

After an analysis of the hourly forecast, we realized we would be setting everything up after 5:30 pm… hmmm problem… the party starts at 6 pm… this is going to get interesting. Doing all we could do until the wind died down we waited and waited… and waited. Finally, it was “GO TIME!!”. Like a well orchestrated machine we reset the party just in the nick of time with no one the wiser. Everyone had a blast… check it out!!
