When Breanna & Justin suggested shooting in Dana Point and that it would include a little sailboat ride, we were sold! Jerod had never been sailing, and I grew up sailing (but have never taken him out LOL — bad wife) so how could we pass that up??!

We decided to meet up early and enjoy a little happy hour. It looses everyone up a bit, plus gives us time to hang out and get to know each other which we have decided is a must for all of our sessions ;O) The weather was beautiful, the sun was out, and there was a nice breeze. Perfect sailing weather! We started out with some land shots then made our way to the boat. The wind was supposed to die by 6, so we made sure to head out just before then; but as mother nature would have it, she gave us quite a few gusts, dropped the temperature 20degrees, and tossed us around a little LOL. We may not have been able to shoot on the boat like we had wanted, but the sunset sail couldn’t have been more amazing! We definitely see why Breanna & Justin love the open seas.
